Why are the dried strawberries in #8 so red?

Sometimes customers hesitate when they discover the bright red dried strawberries in our strawberry-mango granola. Such a bright colour without colouring?

Sure enough, like all our granolas, this bag contains 100% natural products. The strawberries retain their red colour because they are freeze-dried: a process in which the moisture from the fruit is transformed into ice crystals. Afterwards, the frozen pieces of fruit are placed in an extremely dry room where the ice crystals evaporate immediately. This way, you get crunchy pieces of fruit with a bright colour and a delicious natural strawberry flavour.
