Nicecream with banana and tahini caramel

A healthy snack that has everything you expect from an ice cream: fresh, sweet and deliciously creamy! You can make it in 1-2-3 without using an ice cream maker. Also delicious as a dessert on hot summer days.

  • time: 1 night + 10 minutes
  • servings: 4
  • level: easy peasy

How to make it

  • 1

Cut the bananas into pieces and place in a flat tray lined with baking paper. Put in the freezer for at least 2 hours (longer is also possible, you can keep frozen banana slices in the freezer for at least a month).

  • 2

First make the tahini caramel by mixing all the ingredients except for the water into a creamy caramel. Then add the hot water, spoon by spoon, until you get a runny sauce. Taste and add some extra salt if necessary.

  • 3

Blend the frozen banana slices in the blender or food processor with the (plant-based) milk and a small pinch of salt until you get a firm ice cream. Scrape the nicecream from the sides of your blender every now and then so that everything mixes together into a smooth mass.

  • 4

Put a scoop in a glass, top with a spoonful of tahini caramel and sprinkle with crunchy granola.

Tip: You can, of course, use other frozen fruit, such as mango, raspberries or pineapple.
